Ochiba
Fallen Leaves
In a quiet Kyoto street, an elderly woman tends her small wagashi shop, patient,
unhurried, waiting for someone who may never return.
Then one autumn afternoon, a young man steps in. His presence is familiar in a way that cannot quite be explained.
Over tea, time softens. Memories surface. The distance between past and present dissolves into something neither of them names.
When he fades into the golden afternoon light, she does not grieve. She only smiles and returns to her work.
Some things are meant to pass, like autumn itself. Some are meant to return, in time.
The ending belongs to the viewer.
